Your one-stop-shop for Data Quality Management
Are you tired of taking weeks to build custom reports for each and every Data Quality issue that surfaces in your operations. Do you wish there was a way to quickly capture a new DQ issue and at least start tracking it even if the reporting side still needs to be written. Well now you can with Project Overwatch. The newest solution to rapid DQ capture, monitoring, reporting and enforcement.
A single SQL query to capture the DQ issue, then using your favourite reporting tool, our in-build dashboards or custom email templates, you can surface the performance in multiple ways. Use and re-use component based reporting to link DQ issues to the relevant parties, schedule dispatch, automate escalation, monitor new instances and time to resolution through the Project Overwatch configuration options.
Data Quality is only one issue you face. What about making sure that data is entered in a timely manner and that your organisation is reacting appropriately to activity in the business. E.g. Has that inspection been done this week?, No one got back to Mrs X about her query.
As well as capturing just bad data, Project Overwatch and also monitor for and raise alerts for a lack of data based on events that you define.
Overwatch has proved to be a vital tool for the organisation. Not only has it improved the quality of the data but the additional confidence it has given front line teams that they can trust the system generates a virtuous circle of improvement. Being able to quickly capture new DQ issues and provide force‑feedback via daily emails and standard reports means that idividual errors are identifed and fixed in a timely manner and managers are responsibe to any systemic issues from lack of communication, documentation or training.
The Eventing process means we can now automatically issue advisory actions when specific system conditions are met or escalate Service Level breaches up the management chain when actions are not recorded in a timely manner.
Russell Andrews -NACRO
Before we adoped Overwatch, DQ issues took weeks to action as each one required a full report development cycle of request, test, release and security configuration. Now we can do it in under an hour. The discovery work of what the errors are is leveraged directly into the system as DQ capture. The ownership map and component architechture means that we don't have to continually reinvent the wheel to link issues in the same part of the system to the system data owners.
We particularly like the way dynamic distribution groups allow us to manage recipients rather than having to edit the code each time a team member changes roles.
